Immerse 17: A great success

Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett have been delighted with the response to Immerse 17, a unique event unveiling the sister companies' spectacular new 8,000 square-foot showroom. The event was a true celebration of artisanship and luxury.

More than 150 people attended the three-day event, which ran from 7th-9th June at the companies' headquarters in Manchester, United Kingdom. Attendees included leading names in the world of superyachts, private aviation and luxury residences. The event, which featured demonstrations from some of the world's most renowned craftspeople, was hailed a great success by guests, organisers and artisans alike.


The artisans

Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett were thrilled to welcome a number of the world's finest artisans to Immerse 17, who wowed attendees with their extraordinary skill and craft during live demonstrations.

Among those showcasing their incredible talents were experts from Robbe & Berking, Moser, Royal Crown Derby, Mirabel Slabbinck, Begg & Co. Weft Design and Saint-Louis. Each guest was exposed to the intricacies and finer details that make all of the products so special. From glass engraving by Moser to detailed embroidery from Mirabel Slabbinck, the demonstrations were both insightful and fun, with guests invited to try the skills themselves.  


Unveiling the showroom

Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett's brand new state-of-the-art showroom was revealed for the first time at Immerse 17, and received a fantastic reception from all guests. Dedicated tours by Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett's very own in house experts offered a real behind the scenes insight into the work they do.   

The ambitious refit involved a six-figure investment, months of careful planning and, for the first time in the companies' shared 30-year history, temporary closure of the showroom. All of this hard work, however, proved worthwhile, with attendees amazed by the size and splendour of the revamped space.

The new showroom includes:

2,600 plates
1,000 crystal glasses
3,000 pieces of linen
120 dressing gowns
60 pillows

An array of stunning chandeliers are displayed throughout the showroom as part of the companies' new lighting offering. The layout of the space means that visitors can complete a full outfitting project in just a single visit, moving from plates and cutlery through to crystal, glassware and lighting and onto linens, towels, throws and cushions before adding artwork and other accessories.

Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett are to unveil their stunning new showroom at Immerse 17, a special event celebrating true craftsmanship and a new perspective in luxury. Taking place from June 7th to 9th 2017, the event will welcome world-renowned artisans to the sister companies' offices in Manchester, United Kingdom, offering an exclusive first look at a showroom incomparable to anywhere else in Europe.


Immerse 17

Immerse 17 represents a full immersion into the true definition of luxury. The three-day event is a showcase of elegance, artistry and detail. Attendees will include delegates from the superyacht, residential and private aircraft industry, as well as designers and specifiers. All who attend will be treated to demonstrations by some of the world's most distinguished artisans and brands. These include:

- Silver beating from the specialists at Robbe & Berking

- Glass engraving by luxury producer Moser

- Hand painting English fine bone China with Royal Crown Derby

- The finer details and finishing techniques of bed and table linen with Mirabel Slabbinck

- Raw materials and the process of manufacturing luxury cashmere with Begg & Co

- The finest hand embroidery from Weft Design

A new gallery space is to be opened above the showroom, with artists showcasing special one-off pieces. Presentations will also be given by Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett's in-house experts, offering an in-depth perspective into the industry.

The event will be held in a specially-constructed 25-metre marquee, from which attendees will be taken on a personal tour of the state-of-the-art showroom for an exclusive look at the redesigned space and the thousands of products on display.


The new showroom

The Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett showroom closed for the first time in the companies' shared 60-year history while renovation work took place. Following ten weeks of extensive building work, the showroom is now ready for launch.

Housing a stunning range of luxury samples, including 2,600 plates, 1,000 crystal glasses and over 3,000 linens, the showroom truly reflects the companies' shared motto: 'The definition of luxury'. It represents a move towards an ever closer partnership between Kevin Glancy and Jonathan Fawcett, a relationship perfectly illustrated when the two brands presented together at a shared boutique stand at the Monaco Yacht Show 2016.

The showroom also features a number of lifestyle areas, where products selected from both the Kevin Glancy and the Jonathan Fawcett portfolios can be brought together to create entirely new themes.

The new Kevin Glancy & Jonathan Fawcett showroom will open for Immerse 17 and will be open thereafter.
